This is a rechargeable bulb. You screw it into your lampholder in your house. Then it charges, when there is power. When there is no power it can last you for 5 to 6 hours, if it's well charged. The most amazing thing about this bulb is that it's life span is 4 to 5 years. Imagine you are using a bulb for that long. So stop wasting money buying bulbs that can't serve you.
